The Asteroids Galaxy Tour. Love it.
Directed by The Brownlee Brothers
You will soon be hearing about this Danish band The Asteroids Galaxy Tour when their full length album "Fruit" drops in April. They're new wave psychedelic rock à la MGMT... and since MGMT is getting old, The Asteroids Galaxy Tour will be right there to welcome you into to their world. Look out for their upcoming tour once the album is out. This is definitely a band to watch!

The Road Not Taken
By Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
One of my favorite poems.

ERIN WASSON X RVCA & Yours Truly
All images from Eddie @ www.StyleSightings.com
ERIN WASSON X RVCA
The final event that I attended for Fashion Week was the Erin Wasson x RVCA Presentation at Milk Studios. I think Erin has amazing style and I was generally impressed with the edgy, rocker, heroin-chic styling of the presentation itself. The models were sexy, sassy and svelte and the crowd was extra-hip. This is normal for the muse of Alexander Wang, and I would most definitely crown Wang and Wasson as the Prince and Princess of the New York young and edgy fashion world. I was lucky enough to be photographed (above) by Eddie for my own Wasson-inspired outfit, however my body necklace was vintage and not one of Wasson's own creations (though I would love to own one)!
Would it be okay to admit that I have a massive girl crush on Erin Wasson? I mean who doesn't? At the after party, the model/muse/designer owned at riding the mechanical bull and officially solidified herself as hands down the coolest chick to have ever been born. So she's gorgeous and totally badass? Oh and I also spotted her dancing to the old-skool reggae and hip-hop that was exclusively spun at the afterparty and, let me tell you, girl can dance. We're practically kin.
Also, it made me giggle a little bit that my photo is next to Leighton Meester (Blair) from Gossip Girl because the last time I was this close to her, I was a bartender in a sushi restaurant serving Chuck Bass a jack on the rocks while he broke up with her after taking her v-card. Season 1, don't blink!

Carolina Herrera FW 09 Show
Donna and some of her pieces.
I just returned from the Carolina Herrera F/W 09 show in Bryant Park. Sharon Stone, Anna Wintour, Nina Garcia, and Rachel Zoe were some of the onlooking Fashion A-listers. This was also my roommate Donna Kang's debut as a designer for Carolina Herrera!! Congratulations Donna!
I really loved the jewel-tone pallate of rich mossy greens, bronzes, gunmetal greys, deep turquoise and purples. I couldn't help but remember the plethora of patterns laying down in the middle of our living room floor at 1 am with Donna cutting and pasting the embroidery pattern as she organized the placements of each piece. Donna's embroidery designs were exquisite!
